The mission of the McIntosh County Office of the Sheriff Detention Center is to provide safety, security and humane custody and treatment of those individuals in custody. The Sheriff’s Office provides facilities for male and female inmates awaiting trial and/or serving a sentence as punishment for a crime in which they were convicted.
Individuals in the McIntosh County Detention Center are allowed a thirty minute visit per week. Children under twelve are only allowed to visit on the second weekend of each month. Convicted felons are not allowed to visit inmates. Anyone coming to visit an individual in the jail must present a photo identification at the time of the visit.
Last name beginning A-M are allowed visitation Saturdays between the hours of 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Last name beginning N-Z are allowed visitation Sundays between the hours of 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Last name beginning A-M are allowed visitation Saturdays between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Last name beginning N-Z are allowed visitation Sundays between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
